Option 1: By default, it will stream through Real Player when
using the stream link (see example below):
http://easylink.playstream.com/servicename/filename.mp3
-
Option 2: To stream through Windows Media Player, copy the
following tag. Replace the highlighted
text below with your service and mp3 file name. Place the following
tag in a "Note Pad" and save it with the extension "asx"
<ASX Version="3.0">
<ENTRY>
<REF href = "mms://win.playstream.com/servicename/filename.mp3"
/>
</ENTRY>
</ASX>
Save this text file by any name (no spaces) with the extension ".asx" after it
(i.e: audio.asx). Upload this "ASX" file to your Web site (NOT your PlayStream
account). Create a link on your Web page to this file. For example: http://www.YOURWEBSITE.com/audio.asx
Now test your audio by launching your browser. Go to your Web site and click on
the link that you have created on your Web page. That link should launch the
"audio.asx" file, which is a simple instruction that tells Windows Media Player
to launch and play the Windows Media file you referenced inside the audio.asx
file. To get a link for your mp3 playing through Windows Media Player, upload
your asx file inside the progressive folder and take the direct link.
